SOF Select 2026 Recap: New Venue, Familiar Faces, and the Best Gear in the Industry

Another SOF Week is in the books, and SOF Select 2026 proved once again why it remains one of the most anticipated industry gatherings of the year.

Held alongside the broader SOF Week events in Tampa, Florida, SOF Select moved to a new location for 2026, creating a fresh environment while maintaining the intimate atmosphere that has made the event a favorite among operators, industry professionals, and brand partners alike. SOF Week itself brought together the global special operations community from May 18–21, with exhibits, demonstrations, and networking opportunities spread across multiple venues throughout downtown Tampa.

For S&S Precision, SOF Select continues to be one of the most valuable opportunities of the year to connect directly with end users, military professionals, law enforcement personnel, and industry partners. Unlike larger trade shows where conversations can be brief, SOF Select provides an environment where meaningful discussions happen, feedback is shared, and relationships are strengthened.

This year's event featured more than 40 premier brands showcasing the latest innovations in tactical equipment, apparel, protective gear, communications, mobility, and mission support solutions. Attendees had the opportunity to get hands-on with new products, ask detailed questions, and compare solutions side-by-side with the people who design and build them.

Beyond the gear, the greatest value of SOF Select remains the people. Throughout the week, our team had the chance to reconnect with longtime customers, meet new partners, and discuss emerging challenges facing today's operational environments. These conversations are invaluable and often help shape future product development and innovation efforts.

The week also provided an opportunity to support the broader special operations community through networking events and fundraisers, including our annual Bugs and Beers on the Bay crawfish boil benefiting the Sterling Promise Foundation. Seeing so many friends, customers, and partners come together for a great cause was a highlight of the week.

As always, SOF Week showcased the continued collaboration between industry and the operational community. From the exhibit halls and capability demonstrations to the countless conversations taking place throughout Tampa, the focus remained on delivering better solutions to those operating in the most demanding environments.
